THE LOVELY BONES by ALICE SEBOLD

Question 1:
The opening of the book is odd, it's not like any other books. It's an introduction of the main character, her name, birthplace, age, and the fact that she was murdered, and missing. Even though the introduction is so simple, it's effective, because it's kind of creepy, but attention grabbing because it's mysterious. She goes on about her life before she died, her hobbies, and everything.
